Making an offer doesn't always mean that your buyer will proceed to buying the item, that's why the seller may mark the item as 'reserved'. You have to know that buyer may have the tendency to change his/her mind. What if the buyer made an offer already, then after a few minutes she found the same item at a cheaper price set by a different seller? You can't blame the person if he/she decides to opt out of the previous offer because it's his/her money.

Be responsible. Treat others as you would like to be treated. For example, if both parties have already committed to a deal, it wouldn’t be nice to withdraw from it just because someone offered a better deal. Be sure about your offer before submitting one! It’s not advisable to back out of a deal unnecessarily or without good reason, so just be nice to your fellow Carousell community members. ⚫CAROUSELL COMMUNITY GUIDELINES Absolutely NOT NICE.
