He buy phones to sell back in his home country. He is offering a high price for item on Carousell first to entice the seller. It is higher than other competitors from his country. He will meet then inspect the phone to find any flaw and immediately offer a low ball price. Since the seller is already there sometimes he/she will agree. This is a common fraudulent tactic by low ballers. Reported.

settled for $500 for less than 85% battery health online, but when we met he tried to low ball me for $420. i brought the wrong charging cable and told him that i would mail it to his house if he bought the phone at $500. but he still tried to insist on $400/$420 and even told me that restoring battery health costs $100+ so i can’t sell the phone at $500 at all. not a pleasant experience with him.

In chat...agreed to deal at $830 in chat. During meetup...played with words "I agreed to deal at any condition but I never say will not reduce my buying price". Tried to low-ball (from $830 to $750) for near 20 minutes and wanting to PayNow me a price he decides. When I gave up and decided to accept a $20 reduction of the price , he said mine is not a local set so he wanna back out. He is a joke.
