item were in a very bad and stained condition. my fault for assuming it would be a good buy. oh well, lesson learnt and money wasted.

As she has mentioned herself it's her fault. :) In the post it was already stated condition 6/10 (nearly half life gone). Not broken but dirty, with scratches and stains enough to reduce the condition to that rating. Anyway, if it's just stains it can still be used (store tools or outdoors) but she chose to throw it away. If she'd wanted something in good clean condition, look for 8 or 9/10 at least? Just my luck to encounter a fussy buyer who regrets and then gives poor reviews in revenge.
