Personally accept the item and complain after a few days saying the item was faulty. Who in their right mind will personally accept a faulty item?

Hi. This person scammed me and sold me a broken phone. He lied to me saying he did not charge it. When I went back home, the phone was not restarting. I have a video of it being faulty and sent it to him. I reported to Carousell that he knowingly sold a faulty item to customers. He is leaving angry reviews now. Don’t mind him.
Seller willing to wait because I totally forgot about the meet up and arrived late. Thank you for your patience.
